We Serve a Diverse Mix of Students in Lycoming County

Lycoming Day Treatment Services focuses on increasing academic performance, socialization, communications, and vocational skills to allow our students to become productive members of the community.

All program referrals must come from either Lycoming County Children & Youth Agency or Lycoming Juvenile Probation Office.

Our School

Lycoming Day Treatment is a highly structured program whose students receive academic services in an Education Program provided by BLaST IU 17.

Our school serves a diverse mix of students from several surrounding districts.

Day Treatment is committed to providing a treatment oriented educational environment where youth have the opportunity to thrive academically, cope better emotionally and move forward in their educational and vocational goals successfully. Our School-Wide Positive Behavior Support Plan (SWPBS) encourages and promotes a healthy and positive learning environment.

Day Treatment Services are available to youth in two categories:

  • Youth who have returned from placement and continue to need a structured school program.

Our Students Follow These Simple Rules

Treatment Plans

We create Treatment Plans, developed to help identify each student’s strengths, weaknesses and needs. These plans are completed thirty days after the student’s participation in the program and are developed in a team approach with the student, parent(s) or guardian, referring agency worker and the Day Treatment staff.

The youths we serve also have opportunities to participate in various community service projects.

School-Wide Positive Behavior Support Plan

Lycoming Day Treamtent is excited to announce the implementation of a School-Wide Positive Behavior Support Plan (SWPBS).

Research indicates that positive behavior support plans reduce the number of discipline referrals while creating a more positive school culture.

This plan includes four major components, including:

  1. Three to five broad school rules

  2. Explicit instruction for appropriate behavior in all school settings

  3. School-wide positive reinforcement plan utilizing incentives

  4. Systematic procedure for handing chronic behavior difficulties

We Are Here for Our Youth

The majority of our students exhibit emotional and behavioral problems. Our Day Treatment program is designed to provide interventions and opportunities to effect positive changes. Through our programs, youth examine their behavior, develop skills and learn to make necessary changes.
