We Provide In-Home Outreach Services and Individualized Parenting Education to assist families in creating a safe and healthy home for children.
Who is Eligible?
In-Home Services are available to any Lycoming County family with children. Program involvement is voluntary and all services are free.
What is Outreach?
Our In-Home Outreach Services help Lycoming County families meet the every-day challenges of raising children and maintaining a household.
Caregivers receive support to address issues that impact their families.
Individualized parenting education is provided to assist families in creating a safe and healthy home.
Our staff is committed to helping families grow and develop, with the belief that all families are unique, need support and deserve respect.

Parenting Education:
Increase parenting, budgeting and home management skills
Help develop life skills to maintain a safe and healthy home
Help improve anger control, self-esteem and communication
Assist with child development and behavior management skills
Provide support in a crisis
Individualized to meet the needs of each family
Parenting Education Offered:
Active Parenting Programs: Evidence-based programming designed to enhance parenting skills.
Baby Basics and Active Parenting the First 5 Years: Addresses developmental stages, bonding, choices and consequences, and the power of encouragement. For children birth to age 5 years.
Active Parenting Now: Focuses on necessary skill-building to raise responsible children who are able to resist negative peer pressure. This parenting program is for ages 5 to 12.
Cooperative Parenting and Divorce: Focuses on building healthier post-divorce relationship and effective co-parenting.
Preventing Divorce Abuse: Overcoming the devastating negative effects of divorce so that you can play a pivotal role in your child’s healing process.
Active Parenting of Teens: Skill building about mandatory rules and the importance of consistent follow-through. This parenting program is for ages 12 to 18.
1-2-3 Magic: Builds skills for effective and appropriate non-physical discipline.
Building Your Family: A parenting program to help grow a blended family.
How Are Services Delivered:
Each family is assigned an In-Home Outreach worker. The Outreach worker will provide individualized support and assistance to help family members develop new skills, resolve or correct problem areas, and work toward establishing a safe and healthy home.
